We’re back! Upside Down took a few months off to collect new writings, work on another future project together, and just spend time with each other. We are now re-fueled and excited to begin posting regularly! Leading up to attending the World Domination Summit together in Portland, Oregon mid-July, we will post once a week! We will also document our experience traveling together to WDS – we can’t wait!
It was tough to figure out what to write about when we’ve been absent for a little while. Nothing too heavy or serious…I sat at my computer and asked myself – what do we have to say that will remind our readers why they enjoy reading our stories?
Then I thought of Leah. Those moments when her eyes burst with laughter and her beaming face illuminates the room. Her cute self was all that kept replaying in my mind.
Her unique insight. The way she looks at situations in a way that simplifies, brings beauty to moments in ways my brain could never realize, and brings so much joy to others. Yes, of course, that’s what we should start with.
The story I want to share is short and sweet; a recent Leah moment that made me smile so hard I felt it in my heart. It happened last week, when Leah was talking to my co-workers about a “new” TV show that seems to have her hooked. I asked Leah to write about it…
I been having a new show that I been really into and enjoying lately every once in a while I try to not watch it every day but do watch it most days lately or catch it on Hulu later if I miss it. The show is called General Hospital and it is a daytime TV show. It has been on for 55 Seasons but I only going to try to catch up on the past two Seasons. I enjoy the show and it gets me hooked at the end to know what will happen next. And Mario Lopez from Saved By the Bell was featured on some episodes for the BALL and I like and love Mario Lopez so I watched all of those episodes.
My Leah moment happened when Leah was talking about General Hospital while visiting my work, and my co-worker stated, “wow, 55 Seasons? That would take you a long time to catch up on! That’s a lot of Seasons!” To which Leah immediately responded,
“Yeah, and that’s a lot of drama.”
The room burst into laughter. Only Leah would have a response like that. 55 years of drama? No, no. No thank you. She was NOT interested in putting herself on that roller coaster. Gosh this girl can crack me up.
As we get back into posting on Upside Down, you’ll see a mixture between light-hearted stories from every day moments as sisters and reflections on difficult moments where my patience and Leah’s flexibility have been tested. We’ll share some videos and excitements about our upcoming trip in July. And most importantly, we’ll look at situations through a different perspective – finding beauty in all moments.
… A typical Lindsay and Leah moment << — click to enjoy!
Here’s to turning our minds Upside Down.
